OK fellow Savage riders, here is the scoop. For those of you that have followed my postings regarding my Savage (you know, the guy with 76,000 miles, rides every day, used synthetic oil edt). Well, I posted that I thought she had finally given up one morning (see prior posts in the last week or so) with a noise. I had taken here to the shop where they told me she was bassically toast. So, I through my savings on a douwn payment for a Harley Sporster. I am currently breaking in the new Sportster but the story I really want to tell is this: I got the Savage back from the shop afer telling them to put in back together (they had opened the cam cover to see what was wrong charging 100 bucks). They had said to bring a truck because she wouldn't run. Well, I got here back on Saturday. There was no oil in her, so I bought oil from Wal-mart, cleaned her up and hit the starter. Guess what! She not only started, I ran her on a ten mile ride and she is fine! Yeah, she makes a little noies (she always did) but she runs as strong as ever. So, now I have two bikes. I gave the Savage to my wife who took the keys and ran. The next posting will probably be from her. So, welcome a new Savage rider, my wife. She can't ride yet as she has no license, but she will be taking the MSF course in May. Ride Safe all.
